We are pleased to announce that our group member, Merav Dadon, has published the results of her Master's research in the European Journal of Mechanics – A/Solids.

The article, titled "Dual-channel wave transport in hybrid granular beads-on-springs chains," investigates wave propagation in granular systems and introduces a hybrid model combining nonlinear contact interactions with linear spring connections.

Traditional granular chains exhibit strongly nonlinear behavior and cannot transmit small-amplitude signals without precompression. The proposed hybrid structure overcomes this limitation by introducing a second, linear wave transport channel alongside the nonlinear contact mechanism.

The interaction between these two channels leads to three distinct wave propagation regimes, allowing researchers to control wave localization, radiation, and reflection. The study provides a unified framework for understanding and tuning wave transport in particulate lattices, opening new possibilities for the design of mechanical metamaterials and wave-controlling structures.

This publication represents an important achievement in Merav's academic journey and highlights the group's ongoing research in granular mechanics and advanced mechanical systems.

We congratulate Merav on her successful publication and the completion of this challenging research project. We wish her continued success in her future scientific and professional endeavors!
